NARI ANNOUNCES 2007 MEMBER AWARDS

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – FEBRUARY 26, 2007. The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Tampa Bay Area Chapter announced at its 2007 Evening of Excellence the recipients of their 2007 CoTY Award (Contractor of the Year) and the 2007 Associate Member Award. Neal Fiske, CR, TriplePoint Construction LLC, St. Petersburg, Fla. is the 2007 NARI Contractor of the Year and Tony Angel, Tuscany Tile, St. Petersburg, Fla. is the 2007 NARI Associate Member. The awards recognize the professional achievements of the individuals and their contribution to both the industry and NARI. Selections are based on peer review of candidates nominated by previous winners of the awards.

In addition to the annual CoTY and Associate Member Awards, special recognition was given to Don Strobel, CR, CKBR, Strobel Design Build, St. Petersburg, Fla. with his induction into the NARI Hall of Fame. This award is presented to a few select members who have achieved a level of excellence in their respective companies, have served in leadership roles within NARI locally and nationally and have given back to the community. Strobel is a past president of the local chapter, has served on the Board of Directors for more than 15 years, is the current Vice Chair of the national NARI Education Committee and local chair of the Education Committee, and Past President and current Board member of the charitable organization Remodeling Together Tampa Bay. As president of Strobel Design Build, he has inspired excellence in his company that has repeatedly led to local, regional and national recognition of their projects.

CoTY Award winner Neal Fiske, president of TriplePoint Construction, is a general contractor who performs residential and commercial remodeling in the Tampa Bay area. He has served on the NARI Board of Directors for two years and assisted in organizing a successful golf event that increased monies available for NARI’s scholarship and NARI supported charities. He recently received the prestigious NARI designation of Certified Remodeler (CR).

Associate Member Award winner Tony Angel is the owner of Tuscany Tile, a tile sales and installation company in St. Petersburg. Angel is a member of the NARI Board of Directors and has taken on the responsibility of NARI Secretary for 2007. During the past several years he has led an effort to inform homeowners on the proper selection of contractors.

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) is a not-for-profit trade association with more than 50 years of industry experience and 53 chapters nationwide. NARI is the only national association dedicated solely to the remodeling industry and its focus is on professional conduct, continuing education and training, and fair and ethical treatment within the industry. Members of NARI are full service contractors, design-build firms, product manufacturers, suppliers, subcontractors, lenders and other related professionals who work in the remodeling field.
